What is “Completely Yourself College Counseling” All About?

Choosing a college has always been complicated. For LGBTQIA+ students and their families, it can feel like the stakes are suddenly much higher.

Beyond academics and outcomes, families are asking essential questions about safety, belonging, and whether a campus will truly affirm who their child is. What does support look like beyond the brochure? Who shows up when things get hard? Which schools create space for students to live openly and confidently, not just survive?

I’ll help you make sense of that landscape. I’ll share guidance on how to evaluate campuses through an LGBTQIA+ lens, what questions actually matter, and how to spot the difference between performative inclusion and real support. My goal is simple: to help families approach the college search with clearer eyes, steadier footing, and the confidence that their student deserves a place where they can thrive as their fullest self.
